Anna Jolly Women’s Hormone & Fertility Naturopath NZ

Earth Medicine, Body Wisdom.

Kia ora, I’m Anna Jolly, a degree-qualified naturopath and medical herbalist based in New Zealand with a focus on women’s hormones, fertility and menstrual health.

I founded Anna Naturally with a simple belief: women deserve healthcare that helps them understand their bodies, not feel disconnected from them.

Too often, women are told heavy periods, painful or irregular cycles, mood changes, acne, fatigue or fertility struggles are simply something they need to tolerate or suppress. While medications and conventional care can absolutely have an important place, many women are left wondering why symptoms developed in the first place.

My approach aims to bridge modern research with time-honoured naturopathic wisdom. I use a root-cause lens to explore the factors that may influence hormonal health, including nutrition, digestion, stress physiology, sleep, lifestyle, cycle patterns and overall wellbeing.

I aim to create a space where women feel listened to, informed and supported while building practical strategies that fit real life.

My approach

Your menstrual cycle provides feedback every month.

Symptoms such as painful periods, acne, fatigue, mood changes, irregular cycles or fertility challenges are often more than isolated symptoms. They can provide important clues about what may be happening beneath the surface.

My role is not simply to hand you a supplement list or a set of instructions. It is to understand the bigger picture: your symptoms, health history, cycle patterns and the realities of your everyday life.

Sustainable support rather than perfection

I aim to create strategies that work within your life, not plans that require you to completely change it.

During consultations we discuss practical questions such as:

  • What does a typical day look like for you?
  • Do you live rurally or in the city?
  • Who cooks in your household?
  • How much time do you realistically have?
  • What already feels achievable?

Rather than creating an idealised routine that becomes difficult to maintain, we look for simple ways to build new habits into things you already do.

Small, sustainable changes often create meaningful long-term results. I believe health changes are more likely to last when they fit naturally into the life you already have.

Food that works in real life

Nutrition is an important part of supporting hormones and overall wellbeing. However, I don’t believe health requires a completely new pantry or complicated meal plans.

I use your food diary alongside discussions about your lifestyle, routines and day-to-day realities to understand how you currently eat and live. Then we look for practical opportunities to improve nutrient intake and support areas such as hormone production, energy, digestion and overall health.

This might mean:

  • adding foods that provide key nutrients for hormone health
  • improving protein intake at breakfast
  • supporting digestion and nutrient absorption
  • increasing plant diversity
  • making simple adjustments to meals you already enjoy

The goal is to create an approach that feels realistic, enjoyable and sustainable for you.

Outside of clinic

Outside of clinic work I enjoy tramping, weaving with harakeke, and running. I’m also lucky enough to spend part of the New Zealand winter in southern Indonesia.
