Be in the know. Frequently asked questions about naturopath appointments and herbal medicine in New Zealand. If you require any further information please get in touch via my contact form.

During your initial session, we'll discuss your reasons for seeking holistic naturopathic care, your goals, and establish a foundation for our work together. This is where I gather information about you and ask many questions. It's an opportunity for you to share your story, and for us to explore how I can best support you.
It involves a comprehensive assessment of your health history, health concerns, your goals, commitment, barriers, current diet and lifestyle.
I then spend an additional 2 – 3 hours after your appointment researching to develop your individualised Wellbeing Plan. This is presented one week later during your Wellbeing Plan appointment.
Tailored lifestyle practices and nutritional recommendations, custom herbal formulations, mineral therapies and flower essences may be prescribed to achieve specific therapeutic outcomes.
I may also recommend additional testing as required.
Your Initial Consultation session is 60 - 75 minutes
Your Wellbeing Plan session typically lasts 30 minutes but can last up to 45 minutes.
Regular sessions are 30 minutes.
The number of appointments varies based on individual needs and goals. We'll discuss a personalised treatment plan during our initial sessions.

Yes, currently all my appointments are offered online via Zoom. You will be sent a link via email prior to your appointment. The session will run the same way as a face-to-face appointment and I will share any necessary materials via screen share and email.
Absolutely! In fact online naturopath appointments have added advantages such as being able to access specialists outside your geographical location, saves you time and money on travel to/from appointments and you can access it from the safety and comfort of your own home, office or even a (parked!) car - anywhere private and safe.
I understand that things come up from time to time. Last minute cancellations make it difficult to provide availability to other patients. For this reason I require 24 business hours notice of changes or cancellations to your appointment.

Cancellations within 24 hours and appointments that are completely missed without notification or rescheduling will incur the entire consultation fee. I ask it to be paid within seven days. I understand that emergencies happen and will always be understanding in these circumstances.

The time you book for your appointment is yours exclusively. If you are late for your appointment, the time missed will not be added on to the end of the appointment.
No. I am a professional member of NZ Association of Medical Herbalists and at this stage they do not have any affiliations with any health insurance companies or plans.
